Hello I am Lara Jayne,

I am a down to earth, energetic, passionate person. I love what I do.

My professional journey began in 2012 when I graduated from photography college. I photographed portraits, events, magazine covers and then I began to shoot weddings. (I am a romantic at heart) Honestly, I love beauty. I am inspired by different places and beautiful things. (flowers, candles, light) I like to take an ordinary moment, and make it spectacular!

I work with all kinds of personalities, from super outgoing extroverts to extremely shy introverts- but when you see my photos, you won’t be able to tell the difference. I have a special ability to make strangers feel comfortable around me.

Booking a photo session is a fantastic way to celebrate special moments. Whether it be an event, a wedding or just a feel good portrait session.

Lara is amazing, phenomenal, brilliant, and insert every positive word in the English language here. Our entire experience, from start to finish, was brilliant (not to mention full of laughs).

When she phoned me for a brief chat not long after we had initially booked her as our photographer, my day was utter chaos and I felt so bad as I was unprepared and running around like a chicken without a head. Lara was so kind, warm, and professional and it made such a difference. I felt at ease and knew that she'd lead us every step of the way while taking our thoughts and ideas into consideration, and she did just that.

Come our wedding day - she took the lead in situations where I struggled to get others' attention - especially in the morning when we needed to move some of the post- hair and makeup clutter aside for photos. This again put my mind at ease as I knew (and truly felt) that she had my back and knew exactly what needed to be done and when. She kept track of time leading up to the ceremony which I struggled with, with so much going on, and I never felt rushed or pressured - she was just so reliable and speedy. It was incredible!

All of her ideas were brilliant and the way she had a plan set out but also adjusted it when a great photo opportunity presented itself (like us coming across an unexpected staircase!) was admirable and a lot of fun to witness. We also have no idea how to pose and feel a bit awkward when we are the centre of attention, but she taught us how to pose in such an easy, doable way and the photos turned out AMAZING!!! We love them so much! And she was eager to also let our personalities shine in our photos which was so nice, and worked with our toddlers' schedules so we could fit in a little family photoshoot (just us) before the ceremony. So many of the smiles seen in our photos are a direct by-product of Lara's humour as well - we had such a great time and our cheeks hurt by the end of it. Several of our guests also pointed out how warm, professional, and funny she was and they're huge fans of the photos too!

To summarise, she is just fantastic. There is so much I want to say but words don't do her or her work justice. If you are considering choosing her as your photographer, please do it. You won't regret it.

I had an incredible experience with Lara. For my 24th birthday, I wanted a 24K gold-themed photoshoot, and she absolutely brought my vision to life. She arrived at my home, wasted no time setting up (even moving furniture to get the perfect shots), and made the whole experience seamless.

I’m not the most experienced in front of the camera, but she was so patient, giving me posing ideas and coaching me through the process. I even showed her Pinterest photos for inspiration, and she was super accommodating in recreating the vibe I wanted. The final shots were stunning—elegant, golden, and exactly what I envisioned.
